Privacy Policy

This policy explains what Slideration collects, why, where it is stored and how long we keep it.

If you only search

You do not need an account to search.
Your screenshot is used only for that one search and discarded afterwards. We do not store the original image or its file name.
We keep a 64×36 pixel grayscale thumbnail, on which text cannot be read, plus the image size and format, which layouts were returned and how long the search took. We use this to see which kinds of layouts the library is missing.
Anonymous usage events: page views, how you added the image (paste, drop, pick), which results you opened and for how long, clicks on "Similar", "Download" and "Buy", failures, device type (desktop or mobile), the referring site and campaign tags in the link (for example ?src=...). These events do not include your IP address or browser user agent.
Your browser stores a random anonymous ID so we can tell new and returning visitors apart. It is not linked to your identity unless you sign in.

From Google sign-in: your name, email address and Google account ID. We do not receive your Google password or access to your Google data.
Your credit balance, the credits you bought and used, and which slides you downloaded.
From Creem, our Merchant of Record: order and customer IDs and the product you bought. Card and billing details are handled by Creem and never reach us. See Creem's own privacy policy for how they process your payment data.
A sign-in cookie that keeps you signed in for up to 30 days. We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.

Search (screenshot processing, search logs and usage events) runs on servers operated for us by Tencent Cloud in mainland China.
Accounts, credits, purchases and downloads are stored on a server outside mainland China, operated for us by Tencent Cloud.
Service providers who process data for us: Google (sign-in), Creem (payments) and Tencent Cloud (hosting). We do not sell your data or share it for advertising.

Search logs with thumbnails, and anonymous usage events: 180 days, then deleted automatically.
Standard server access logs, which include IP addresses, are used only for security and rate limiting.
Account and purchase records: for as long as your account exists, and afterwards as long as required for tax and accounting purposes.

If your browser sends Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control, the page does not send usage events. Search logs are still kept to monitor the service.
Clearing this site's data in your browser resets the anonymous ID.
You can ask us for a copy of your account data, or to correct or delete it, by emailing childgsz@gmail.com. Depending on where you live (for example in the EU/UK or California) you may have additional rights, including the right to complain to your data protection authority.
